Before you ask
The questions we get most.
What happens after I send the trip brief?
You will get a confirmation email straight away, with a copy of what you sent us. Then one of us — not a bot — calls you within two business days to talk about your trip. If there is a better time to reach you, just reply to that email. The call is free and you are under no obligation afterwards.
What does it cost?
The first conversation costs nothing. Every trip is different, so once we understand what you are after we agree a fixed price with you in writing before any work begins. Nothing is owed until you say yes.
Do you book my hotels and trains?
No. We shortlist the right options and show you exactly how to book them, and you pay the providers directly. You are never tied to our suppliers, and there is no margin hidden in your trip.
What format does the plan come in?
Whatever you will actually use. A PDF that still works on your phone when you have no signal in China, a Google Doc, a shared spreadsheet, or notes you can paste into the planner you already keep. We ask before we start.
What if the plan is not right?
Tell us what is not working and we rework it — we agree how many rounds are included when we agree the scope. We would rather hear it than have you travel with a plan you are quietly unsure about.
I already have an itinerary. Can you just check it?
Yes. Say so in your trip brief and we will review what you have, tell you honestly what will not work, and fill the gaps rather than starting again.
Are you a travel agency?
No. We are two people who grew up in China and plan trips one at a time. That is why we take a limited number, and why you book and pay for everything yourself.
